St Margaret, Yatton Keynell

St Margaret, Yatton Keynell

In about 1250 Sir William Keynell built the original church as thanks for his safe return from The Crusades; as a result, it bears the unusual dedication to St Margaret of Antioch. Its tower is fifteenth century, but the building was mostly rebuilt in 1868 to a design by George Edmund Street.
